Empires (“Empires”, “we”, “us”) is a local multiplayer party word game for iOS. This policy explains what information the app handles and what it does not.

Summary

Empires does not require an account, does not sell personal data, and does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Games run on your devices over the local network. We do not operate a game server that stores your answers.

Information we process

  • Game content you create — display names, avatars, custom questions, and answers — is kept on the participating devices for the duration of the session (and any local app state you keep after).
  • Local network traffic between nearby phones is used so friends can discover a host and sync the shared game state. That traffic stays on your local network / peer connection; it is not sent to Empires servers.
  • Preferences such as profile choices may be stored locally on your device using on-device storage provided by iOS.

Permissions

  • Local Network — required to find and join nearby Empires games. Empires does not use this permission for tracking or advertising.

Information we do not collect

  • No account registration or login.
  • No cloud backup of game answers operated by us.
  • No location tracking beyond local peer discovery.
  • No advertising identifiers used for ads.
  • No third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs from us.
  • No contact list, camera, or microphone access for tracking.

Apple and the operating system

Apple may collect diagnostic or usage information according to your device settings and Apple’s own privacy policy (for example if you have opted in to Share iPhone Analytics or App Store diagnostics). That processing is controlled by Apple, not by Empires.

Children

Empires does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because gameplay stays on local devices and we do not operate accounts or analytics, the app is suitable for general audiences under App Store guidelines. Parents should supervise multiplayer sessions as they would any shared device activity.

Changes

We may update this policy if the app’s behaviour changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
